May 2017 Update
The resurgence continues the Centre is now fully open once again, and able to accept and host bookings in all its various facilities the Main Hall, the ancillary meeting and activity rooms, the Oasis Centre, and the café.
Big news since the last update is that the Centre is now hosting the return of Post Office facilities to the town in the form of twice weekly openings Mondays between 2.30pm and 5.30pm, and Thursdays between 10.00am and 1.00pm. It's exactly the sort of activity any Community Centre would wish to support, and it's wonderful to have such an excellent further reason to be able to welcome former and new users into the Centre. There's parking immediately adjacent to the Centre and full wheelchair access, so please feel free to make use of this valuably restored community service.
So as part of this new resurgence we're having a 'come and have Tea and Biscuits and a chat' afternoon on Local Election Polling Day on Thursday 4th May, when were inviting you to pop in and chat with us as to how you might enjoy and be able to help the Centre as a volunteer, so do come and share your thoughts on that with us.
If you can't make that for any reason, but you'd still like to have the chance to be involved, please give us a ring on the Centre's new dedicated mobile phone (07450-708094), and we'll be delighted to hear from you. Or, if you'd prefer, email us on firstname.lastname@example.org . We'd love to hear from you any way you choose.
Meanwhile, the Antiques Fair returned on the second Sunday in March and is now with us again each second Sunday in the month; the new independently-run Craft Fair will be back again on Sunday 7 th May (please contact Janice, on 07974 054116 for more information on how to take part) and these are being joined on 28th May and 23rd July by a new Toy Fair.
People are responding to the new atmosphere here it's all starting to getting busier very quickly, so don't miss out. Come and enjoy the activities already happening; come and start new ones, or simply come in and have a coffee anytime.
You can also still benefit from our 'free first use' incentive, designed to help you see if any new idea of yours might actually have a level of support you mightn't otherwise have been quite sure of, so you can come and hold an initial viability meeting for your proposed group/activity at absolutely no financial risk to yourself whatsoever. It is our aim that you will not find a more welcoming venue anywhere in the South-West.
Thank you for your continuing interest in the Lostwithiel Community Centre; this information will be updated again as soon as there is more of note to share.
